Home/ Fleet/ Vasco & South Goa

Car and bike rental in Vasco da Gama.

We are from here. Based in Vaddem, minutes from Dabolim, delivering across South Goa from Bogmalo down to Palolem.

Vasco and South Goa

Vasco does not appear on the poster. That is rather the point.

There is no cliff bar, no drum circle, no lane of tattoo shops. What there is instead is a working town with proper fuel stations and real mechanics, a railway station, and Dabolim airport a few minutes up the road. For anybody basing themselves in the south, that combination is worth more than atmosphere.

It is also where GoGoaGet lives. Our vehicles are prepared here, which is why a handover in Vasco, Bogmalo or around the airport is fast, and why help arrives quickly if something goes wrong on a southern road.

  • Minutes from Dabolim airport and Vasco railway station.
  • Delivery across the south, no office visit needed.
  • 67 cars, 16 bikes and 6 scooters to choose from.
  • Local phone, local workshop, local people.

What is actually within reach

Distances in the south are longer and emptier than in the north, which is exactly why having your own vehicle changes the trip.

Twenty minutes out

Bogmalo and the small coves either side of it, Baina, and the Japanese Garden headland for the sunset. Easy on two wheels, easy to do on a whim after a late breakfast.

Forty minutes out

Colva, Benaulim and the long flat sands of the central south, plus Margao for the market and the Portuguese houses. This is the stretch most people underestimate.

An hour or so out

Cavelossim, Mobor, Agonda and Palolem. The road empties out past Cavelossim and you can hold a speed for twenty minutes at a time, which is the best driving in Goa.

A proper day out

Dudhsagar falls, the spice plantations around Ponda, the Netravali and Cotigao interior, and Cabo de Rama. These are the days a car earns its rate several times over.

Two wheels or four

Down here, the answer is not the usual one

Take a car if

You are moving between beaches each day, travelling with family or parents, here between June and September, or planning the inland days. Southern distances are real and the sun at two in the afternoon on an open road is not a joke. Browse the cars.

Take two wheels if

You are staying in one area and riding the coast road slowly, parking at shacks and lanes a car cannot reach, or you are two people travelling light. Scooters from ₹500, bikes from ₹800.

Take both if

The trip is a week or more. A car for the distance and the weather, a scooter for the slow days. It is the combination most repeat visitors to the south end up booking.

Add a driver if

The day involves a long inland drive, elderly parents, or feni. A driver can be arranged with any car or SUV at an additional charge, and for some southern days it is simply the better call.

Good to know

Renting in Vasco and South Goa, answered

Do you rent cars and bikes in Vasco da Gama?
Yes. Vasco is our home ground. GoGoaGet is based in Vaddem, Vasco da Gama, and we rent self drive cars from ₹900 a day, scooters from ₹500 and motorcycles from ₹800. Being local means handovers in Vasco and around Dabolim are quick, and so is help if anything goes wrong.
Do I have to come to an office in Vasco to collect the vehicle?
No. Vehicles go out to hotels, villas and homestays right across the south, from Bogmalo down to Palolem, and are collected from wherever the trip finishes. Nobody needs to spend the first afternoon of a holiday finding a rental shop.
Is Vasco a good base for exploring Goa?
For the south, yes, and it is underrated for it. Bogmalo is about twenty minutes away, Colva and Margao around forty, Palolem an hour or so, and Dudhsagar or the spice farms make a proper day out. Dabolim airport and Vasco railway station are both close, which makes arrival and departure days easy.
Two wheels or four for South Goa?
The southern roads change the calculation. Distances are longer and emptier than in the north, so a car is the better answer if you are moving between beaches each day or travelling with family. Two wheels are the better answer if you are staying put in one area and riding the coast road slowly. Many longer trips take both.
How far is Vasco from Dabolim airport?
A few minutes by road. Dabolim sits just outside Vasco, which is why a southern base makes the arrival and departure days so much simpler than a northern one. If you are flying into Mopa instead, expect roughly two hours down to this end of the state.
Can you deliver to Colva, Margao, Palolem or Agonda?
Yes, all of them, and the villages in between. Delivery and collection across South Goa are part of the service rather than an extra errand. Tell us the address and the dates and we will confirm the timing.
Is South Goa worth it in the monsoon?
It is a different holiday rather than a worse one. The interior is spectacularly green, the roads are quiet, and rates are the lowest of the year. Take a car rather than two wheels, and plan around the rain rather than against it.

Staying in the south?

Send us the address and the dates. We'll bring the vehicle to you, anywhere from Bogmalo to Palolem.
